What is a Recoil? The dictionary defines recoil as "to spring or come back; react." The Diamondback Recoil takes that definition to heart. Whether it is flying down the wide open trail or making its way through twisty tight single track, the Recoil 29 will react to what is under its tires and then spring back and be ready to take on what comes next. What’s next?: 29ers. The larger diameter wheel is taking over, and with good reason.

The Recoil 29 is the perfect beginner bike for those just getting into aggressive riding or those who are looking for an entry level full suspension rig.

The foundation for this is firmly laid with an all-new 6061 T-6 Aluminum Trail frame sporting 4" of travel via the Tuff Shock Rear Coil Shock w/ oil Damping. The frame uses a machine formed top tube and a butted and formed down tube sharing tubing from our nicer Sortie series. It uses a sealed cartridge bearing pivot and is built around an optimized single pivot design which is the simplest type of rear suspension because there are few moving parts. It consists of a pivot just above the bottom bracket, slightly up on the down tube and a single swingarm to the rear axle. Being that the rear triangle directly attaches to the rear shock, the shock has a more linear spring rate and offers good small bump compliance.

Larger wheels are not the only goodies on this beast, We've added a SR XCT 100mm travel fork w/external preload adj. The Shimano SL-M310 Rapidfire 8-speed shifters control an Altus front and an Acera rear derailleur and the HG31 8spd Cassette (11-32t) combined with the SR Suntour XCC T202 crankset ( 24/34/42t) give you 24 mountain crushing gears to choose from. The Tektro Novela mechanical disc brakes with 6" rotors will provide all of the breaking power that you’ll need and the Weinmann SL-7 Doublewall wheelset will provide a tough and stable platform for your bike to roll on.

At the heart of the Denali PRO you will find a high quality, hand crafted light weight, aluminum frame for a stiff, responsive ride. The 16 speed drive-train is equipped wtih integrated Brake/Shift levers so that you can brake and shift without moving your hands from the handlebar. Dual privot alloy brakes make sure that you stop on a dime while light weight 700c aluminum rims further enhance the lively feel of this incredible value. The Denali PRO is available in 56cm frame size only. Recommended height range is 5'9" to 6'1". Stand-over is 31.5". Professional assembly is highly recommended for your riding safety and enjoyment.
